Sheet is usually ordered by gauge and plate by thickness. Tell us the size and quantity and we can cut the material to your dimensions.
Sheets & Plates we supply
- Hot-rolled sheet and plate. General fabrication, structural plates, gussets and base plates. Plate is commonly ASTM A36.
- Cold-rolled sheet. Smoother surface and tighter tolerances for enclosures, panels and parts.
- Galvanized sheet. Zinc-coated for outdoor and moisture-prone applications.
- Diamond (tread) plate. Raised pattern for stair treads, ramps, truck beds and walkways.
- Stainless and aluminum sheet. For kitchens, signage, trim and corrosion-resistant work.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between sheet and plate?
In steel, material thinner than about 3/16 inch is usually called sheet and ordered by gauge. Material 3/16 inch and thicker is plate and is ordered by its thickness.
What sheet sizes are standard?
Common full sheet sizes are 4 ft x 8 ft, 4 ft x 10 ft and 5 ft x 10 ft. We can also cut sheet and plate to your dimensions.
